3.1.5. Cover of valves

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Disconnect the valve of ventilation of a case of the engine and ventilating hoses from a cover of valves.
Models of 1,6 l
3. Disconnect wires of spark plugs from clips.
	4. Unscrew two top bolts of a cover of a gas-distributing belt (SOHC) and weaken the lower bolts of a cover of a gas-distributing belt.
	5. Unscrew bolts of a cover of valves (SOHC).
6. Uncover valves a head of cylinders.
7. Examine laying of a cover, if necessary replace it.
Models of 1,8 l
8. Mark wires of spark plugs and disconnect them from candles.
9. Remove the ignition distributor together with wires.
10. Unscrew bolts of the top cover of a gas-distributing belt and uncover.
11. Unscrew bolts of a cover of valves and uncover.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Models of 1,6 l
	1. Put a sealant layer in a cover flute, establish laying of a cover of valves (SOHC) in a flute.
2. Establish a cover of valves, insert bolts and tighten them.
Models of 1,8 l
3. Clean off traces of old laying, put a sealant layer in a flute of a cover of valves (SOHC), establish laying in a flute.
	4. Apply silicone sealant on the shaded areas of a head of cylinders (1,8 l of DOHC).
5. Establish a cover, insert bolts and tighten bolts a hand.
6. Tighten bolts in stages in the specified sequence.
