| 1. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature. |
| 2. Prepare the tools necessary for check of a corner of an advancing of ignition. |
| 3. Connect a stroboscope. |
| 4. On the Ford Probe models remove a crossing point from the socket of connection SPOUT located between the accumulator and the diagnostic socket of connection. Connect the TEN and GND plugs of the diagnostic socket of connection. |

| 5. Start the engine and direct a stroboscope beam to an adjusting line and a yellow mark in a pulley of a bent shaft. If the yellow mark does not coincide with the necessary mark in an adjusting ruler, turn off a fixing bolt of the distributor of ignition and turn the distributor as it is necessary. |
| 6. Tighten a fixing bolt and again check an ignition advancing corner. |
