3.5.18. Check of a bent shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a bent shaft solvent and dry up it compressed air.
2. Examine bearings of a bent shaft on existence of wear tracks, scratches, corrosion or cracks.
3. Remove jags around lubricant openings and clean openings solvent.
4. Examine a bent shaft on existence of cracks or other damages.
5. Measure diameters of radical and conrod bearings. To reveal conicity and ovality, measure diameter of each of bearings in several points. If necessary the bent shaft needs to be processed in a specialized workshop.
6. Check necks of epiploons of a bent shaft for existence of wear tracks or damages. If epiploons wiped flutes on necks, then new epiploons will pass oil.
7. Measure length of a carving of each of bolts of covers of radical bearings. In four-cylinder engines of a carving of bolts 67,5 mm have to be not longer, and in six-cylinder engines 136 mm are not longer (for long bolts) and 119 mm (for short bolts), otherwise bolts it is necessary to replace.
