Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the camshaft. Get pushers of faulty valves.
2. Unscrew candles of cylinders to which faulty valves belong.
3. Install the piston of the cylinder necessary to you in VMT.
4. Twist an adapter in an opening of a spark plug and connect a hose of the air compressor to an adapter.
5. Turn on the compressor.
6. By means of the special tool squeeze a spring of the valve and remove clamps.
7. Remove a plate springs, a spring and a saddle of a spring. If when holding this procedure compressed air in the cylinder does not hold the valve in the closed state, so the facet of the valve and / or a saddle of the valve is damaged.
8. Measure depth of landing of an epiploon of a rod of the valve and remove an epiploon.
9. Examine a valve spring on existence of cracks and other damages. Measure length of a spring and compare it to technical requirements (see subsection 3.2.2).
10. Oil a valve rod engine and establish a new epiploon, using the special tool or the suitable plug.

Prevention

Do not mix epiploons of inlet and final valves. Epiploons of final valves have ledges in the top part.

11. Establish a saddle of a spring and a spring of the valve.
12. Install a plate of a spring. Squeeze a spring and establish clamps, if necessary apply a small amount of sealant on clamps.
13. Disconnect a hose of the compressor and unscrew an adapter.
14. Establish all remained details, start the engine and check a head of cylinders for existence of leaks and unusual sounds.
