3.2.10. Final collector

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The engine has to be cold.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Disconnect a wire from the oxygen sensor. If you establish a new collector, remove the sensor.
3. Unscrew bolts and remove the heat-insulating guard from a collector.
4. Oil impregnating nuts and bolts of a final collector.
5. Lift the car and fix it on support.
6. Unscrew bolts of an arm of an exhaust pipe and lower the catalytic converter and an exhaust pipe that they did not prevent removal of a collector.
7. Unscrew bolts and nuts of a final collector and disconnect it from a head of cylinders.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean off the remains of old laying and a deposit from the joined surfaces of a collector and a head of cylinders. If laying of a collector was not tight, it is necessary to check whether the collector is deformed. For conducting this check address the expert.
2. Establish new laying of a collector.
3. Establish a collector and insert bolts.
4. Tighten bolts and nuts of a collector till the required inhaling moment.
5. Establish the remained details, start the engine and check its work.
