12:22. System cruise control

GENERAL INFORMATION

The system a cruise control supports the set speed of the movement of the car by means of an electronic control unit, the sensor of speed and the drive located in a motive compartment. The system a cruise control consists of switches, the sensor of speed, the switch of fires of a stoplight, the switch on a pedal of coupling and connecting wires.

At inclusion between plugs C and D there has to be a conductivity.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a system safety lock a cruise control.

2. Check operation of the switch of fires of a stoplight.

3. Check operation of the switch for coupling pedals.

4. Examine vacuum hoses and check a system rope tension.

5. Check the speed sensor.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove switches and check them for conductivity (see rice. Identification of plugs and check of conductivity (between plugs 2 and 3) the system switch a cruise control – the Ford Probe models).

2. Remove the safety airbag module.

3. Turn off fixing screws disconnect sockets of connection and remove switches.

4. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Mazda models

On these models the system a cruise control has the built-in system of diagnostics.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For activation of system of diagnostics include ignition and press the Resume/Accel button for three seconds.

2. In two seconds after the alarm bulb of system a cruise control on the dashboard goes out, the malfunction code will be removed (see the tab. Codes of malfunction of system cruise control of the Mazda models).

3. Remove the system switch a cruise control and check it for conductivity (see rice. Identification of plugs of the main switch of system a cruise control – the Mazda models).

4. For replacement of the switch located on a steering column you watch points (see the tab. Codes of malfunction of system cruise control of the Mazda models).

5. For replacement of the main switch of system a cruise control remove the switch from the dashboard and disconnect the connection socket.

6. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Adjustment of a tension of a rope

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove a fixing clip (A) and adjust a rope tension so that it had a free wheeling in 3 mm in a point (In).
