3.3.10. Final collectors

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The engine has to cool down completely.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Oil impregnating fastenings of a final collector.
3. Disconnect wires from oxygen sensors.
4. Disconnect a tube of system of recirculation of final gases from a back final collector and a head of cylinders.
5. Twist the nuts fixing an exhaust pipe to forward and back final collectors.
6. Unscrew bolts of the heat-insulating guards of both collectors.
7. Unscrew bolts, the fixing final collectors to heads of cylinders and remove collectors.
8. Examine collectors on existence of cracks and other damages.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully clean the joined surfaces of collectors and heads of cylinders. Check extent of deformation of the joined surfaces of collectors. If deformation exceeds admissible limits, collectors need to be processed on the machine in a specialized workshop.
2. Establish new laying of collectors.
3. Establish collectors and tighten bolts and nuts of collectors.
4. Establish the remained details.
