9.4. Brake overlays of disk brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Always replace brake slips at the same time on both wheels. Observe precautionary measures during the work with the brake dust containing asbestos which is hazardous to health.


Replacement

FORWARD WHEELS

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a tank cap with brake fluid. Remove a wheel. Examine a brake disk on existence of wear or damages.
2. Press the piston deep into of a support by means of a clamp.
3. Clear the brake mechanism of dust and dirt.
4. Turn off a fixing bolt of a support (it is specified by an arrow; the top arrow specified a bolt of connection of a banjo of a brake hose).
5. Lift a support (at the left) and enshrine a support in this provision by means of a wire piece (on the right).
6. Remove antinoise springs.
7. Remove an external brake slip.
8. Remove an internal brake slip.
9. Remove fixing clips of brake slips.
10. Replace fixing clips if they leaky are established on a fixing arm of a support.
11. Apply antinoise lubricant on a reverse side of brake slips.
12. Establish a new internal brake slip.
13. Establish a new external brake slip.
14. Establish into place antinoise springs.
15. Clear a finger of a support and grease it with high-temperature lubricant.
16. Install a support on a brake drive and slips.
17. Establish a fixing bolt and tighten it till the required inhaling moment.

BACK WHEELS

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a tank cap with brake fluid. Remove a wheel. Examine a brake disk on existence of wear or damages.
2. Remove a clip from a rope of the emergency brake.
3. Turn off an adjusting nut of a rope of the emergency brake.
4. Disconnect a rope from the lever.
5. Turn off a bolt (at the left) and tighten up an adjusting gear wheel counterclockwise to remove the piston deep into of a support (on the right).
6. Turn off a fixing bolt of a support.
7. Remove a support from a brake disk.
8. Remove antinoise springs.
9. Remove an external brake slip.
10. Remove an internal brake slip.
11. Remove fastenings of brake slips.
12. Before installation of brake slips apply antinoise lubricant on their reverse side.
13. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

FORWARD AND BACK WHEELS

Establish wheels and lower the car on the earth. Check the level of hydraulic liquid in a tank of the brake system and operation of the brake system.
