Models of cars in which automatic transmissions are installed are equipped with systems of mutual blocking. The system of mutual blocking consists of two subsystems: systems of blocking of the lever of gear shifting and system of blocking of the lock of ignition.
The system of blocking of the lock of ignition does not allow to get a key from the ignition lock if the lever of gear shifting is not installed in parking situation.
The system of blocking of the lever of gear shifting does not allow to move the lever from parking situation in any other if the brake pedal is not pressed.
The system of blocking of the lever of gear shifting consists of the sensor of the transmission, the mechanism of blocking of the lever of switching, the switch of the parking, the switch of a pedal of a brake, a rope of blocking of the lock of ignition and the emergency switch of blocking.

| Mechanism of blocking of the lever of gear shifting |
| 1. Check safety locks 15A METER and 20A STOP. If necessary replace safety locks and check a chain from the blocking mechanism to the block of fuses. |
| 2. Remove the central console. |
| 3. Install the gear shifting lever in parking situation. |
| 4. Remove the panel of the indicator of position of the lever. |
|
5. Disconnect the 4-contact socket from the mechanism of blocking (shooter). |
| 6. Include ignition. At connection to contact the 2nd voltmeter has to show accumulator tension. If it not so, check an ignition lock chain. |
| 7. Switch off ignition. At connection to contact 1 voltmeter has to show accumulator tension. If it not so, check a chain of a safety lock 20A STOP. |
| Switch of parking situation
|

|
8. Define a switch socket arrangement (With – the socket of wires of the switch of the parking, In – the blocking mechanism, And – the emergency switch of blocking). |
| 9. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts of a nest of the switch. The chain has to be closed. |
| 10. Install the gear shifting lever in any other situation, except parking. The chain of the switch has to be opened in all other provisions. |
| 11. If necessary replace the switch. |

| Mechanism of blocking of the lever of gear shifting
|
| 1. Remove the central console. |
| 2. Disconnect a wire from the mechanism. |
| |
3. Twist two screws and two nuts of the mechanism of blocking. |
| 4. Remove the mechanism. |
| 5. Installation is carried out upside-down removals. |
| Rope of blocking of the lock of ignition
|
| 6. Remove the central console. |
|
|
7. Unscrew four screws of the indicator of position of the lever of gear shifting and remove the indicator. |
|
|
8. Weaken a rope lock-nut. |
| 9. Disconnect a rope from an arm. |
| 10. Remove the lower part of the dashboard. |
| 11. Uncover top and lower a steering column. |
|
|
12. Unscrew the screw of a rope and remove its arm. |
| 13. Disconnect a rope from the ignition lock cylinder. |
| 14. Remove a rope. |
| 15. Installation is carried out upside-down removals. |
