5.3.6. Fuel level measuring instrument sensor

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the fuel pump and the measuring instrument of level of fuel.
3. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts and measure resistance. Measure the sensor resistance when the lever of the measuring instrument is lowered completely down (the tank is empty) – 105 Ohms and when the lever is completely lifted (the tank is full) – 3–6 Ohms. When moving the lever resistance has to change evenly.
4. If necessary replace the sensor.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the fuel pump and the measuring instrument of level of fuel.
3. Disconnect contacts of the sensor.
4. Unscrew screws and disconnect the sensor block from an arm of the fuel pump.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
