1. Remove a half shaft from the car. |
2. Clamp a half shaft in a vice. |

Removal of elements

1. Remove fixing collars of a boot. |
|
2. Shift a boot aside. |
|
3. Mark the provision of installation of the tripod in a casing and remove a casing. |
|
4. Mark the provision of installation of the tripod on a half shaft (tags are specified by shooters). |
|
5. Remove a lock ring from the end of a half shaft. |
|
6. Bring down the tripod from the end of a half shaft. |

Survey
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Carefully remove old lubricant. |
2. Examine all elements of the hinge on existence of scratches, corrosion, other wear tracks or damages. Replace the hinge if it is necessary. |

Assembly of elements
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
|
1. Put on a boot and collars a half shaft. Wrap up vents an adhesive tape before installation of a boot. |
|
2. Install the tripod on a half shaft and establish a lock ring. Fill the tripod and a casing of the hinge with lubricant. |
3. Install a casing on the tripod. |
|
4. Adjust half shaft length, being guided by the values given subsection 8.2. |
|
5. Raise edge of a boot to level pressure in and outside of a boot. |
|
6. After an inhaling of a collar bend the end of a collar. |
|
7. Record it by means of lock uvulas. |
|
8. For installation of a tape collar tighten it by means of the special tool, turn the tool on 90 °. |
|
9. Cut off surplus. |
|
10. For installation of a coupling collar it is necessary to use the special tool. |

1. Remove collars. |
2. Shift a boot aside. |

3. Remove a lock ring from a casing. |

4. Remove a casing. |

5. Remove a lock ring from the end of a half shaft. |
6. Remove a holder with balls. |
|
7. Mark the provision of installation of an internal path of a holder. |
8. Accurately get balls and remove an internal path. |

1. Carefully clear all elements of old lubricant and examine an internal path on existence of corrosion, scratches, cracks or other damages. |

2. Examine a holder on existence of corrosion, scratches, cracks or other damages. |

1. Put on a boot and collars a half shaft. |
|
2. Insert an internal path and balls into a holder. |
3. Fill a holder with balls lubricant. |
|
4. Establish a holder on a half shaft by the party with a big diameter outside. |
5. Establish a lock ring for fixing of a holder. |
6. Fill a hinge casing with lubricant. |
7. Establish a lock ring in a hinge casing. |
8. Establish a casing on a holder with balls and establish a boot into place. |
9. Raise edge of a boot to level pressure in and outside of a boot. |
10. Adjust half shaft length. |
11. Tighten boot collars. |

PERFORMANCE ORDER |
Establish a new lock ring for the end of a half shaft. Install a half shaft on the car. |

EXTERNAL CV JOINT
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove collars of a boot and shift a boot aside. |
2. Carefully clear the hinge of old lubricant by means of solvent. Wash out and dry up the hinge. |
|
3. Carefully remove old lubricant and examine hinge elements on existence of corrosion, damages or wear tracks. If the hinge is worn-out, the half shaft needs to be replaced. |
4. Replace a boot of the external hinge, having removed the internal hinge and a dynamic damper if it is necessary. |
5. Install a new boot on the hinge, fill a boot with lubricant and tighten fixing collars. |
6. Install a half shaft on the car. |
