3.4.3. Repair work without dismantle of the engine from the car

GENERAL INFORMATION

Without dismantle of the engine from the car it is possible to execute a set of the main operations on repair.

Before any works it is very desirable to wash out a motor compartment and the engine a water stream. It is easier to work with the pure engine, pollution of the internal device of the engine is prevented.

To expand working space and not to damage coloring, uncover a motor compartment and hinged mudguards.

If traces of the leaks of oil or cooling liquid indicating replacements of laying the need are observed, then all works as a rule are carried out without dismantle of the engine. Without dismantle it is possible to replace laying of the oil pallet, a head of the block of cylinders, laying of inlet and final collectors, forward and back covers, an epiploon of a bent shaft.

Without dismantle of the engine it is also possible to remove such hinged units as the pump of cooling liquid, a starter, the generator, the ignition distributor, inlet and final collectors, and also the fuel pump and the carburetor.

As the head of the block of cylinders can be removed without dismantle of the engine too, also repair of the valvate mechanism is possible.

Without dismantle it is also possible to perform such works as replacement or check of a condition of a gear belt, gear wheels of the drive of a cam-shaft, the oil pump, consolidation of a forward cover.

In extreme cases when there is no necessary equipment, without removal of the engine it is possible to replace piston rings, pistons, rods and connecting rods, to otkhonningovat cylinders. However, it is not recommended to perform these works without removal of the engine as cleaning of the accompanying details and preparatory activities are required.
