11.9. Cowl

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl.
2. Disconnect the wires and hoses preventing removal of a cowl.
	3. Mark the provision of installation of loops on a cowl.
	4. Turn off fixing bolts and remove a cowl.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken fixing bolts or nuts and move a cowl as it is necessary. Tighten fixing bolts.
	2. For adjustment of position of the lock of a cowl, weaken fixing bolts of the lock and move the lock as it is necessary.
	3. Adjust height of rubber pillows of a cowl.
4. Periodically grease the lock and loops with lubricant on a lithium basis.

The cowl lock – removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Mark the provision of installation of the lock. Remove the finishing panel from above of the lock. Turn off fixing bolts and a nut and remove the lock.
	2. Remove a fixing clip.
	3. Disconnect the end of a rope.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Rope of opening of the lock – removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a rope from the cowl lock.
2. Tie a piece of a wire or a thick thread to a rope and remove a rope from fastenings in a motive compartment.
3. Remove an insert of a wheel niche.
	4. Turn off fixing nuts (are specified by an arrow) and remove the handle of opening of a cowl and a rope from the dashboard.
5. Stretch a rope in salon and remove it from the car.
6. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
